8 qtrs. Yes use a synthetic oil with a filter made for it, I use Wix XP brand. Your would be an WL10255XP

dexos® engine oil specification , 0-20w . You can look it up on the quaker state web site , 8 qrts . look at the owners manuel to be for sure
I use quaker state 0-20w ultimate durability full synthetic , just make sure it has the Dexos specs on any oil you buy .

Yeap! Had to stop using Royal Purple as it didn't have the Dexos rating for a GDI motor. I prefer Valvoline now, but frequent oil and filter changes are the key, no matter what brand of oil that you like.
