Ticking from front suspension
Hey everyone, I have a question about my 2015 Silverado.. I’ve been chasing an issue with the front suspension. I don’t think it’s the brakes but the brakes start the sound I guess you could say. I got this truck about a month ago and from what I’ve seen the brake pads, rotors, calipers, and all the brake lines have been replaced, but when I hit the brakes hard there’s a rhythmic ticking like sound coming from what seems like the front drivers side wheel. It doesn’t do it when you first start driving only when you heavily hit the brakes. The harder you hit the brakes the louder it is, and if you hit the brakes when it’s ticking it stops. The struts were recently replaced, an alignment was done, the tires are all brand new, and from what I can tell, theres no play in the hub bearing. The transfer case and the drive shaft was just changed, I know the 4WD makes a loud whirring like noise when engaged and the brakes are applied, almost like it’s winding up. The ABS light will come on inconsistently at random times. I genuinely am at a loss as to what it could be. I couldn’t recreate the 4WD issue on video of course, I did get the ticking before and after the brakes was applied though.
It won’t let me upload the video, it sounds a lot like a ratchet tapping on a solid piece of metal or when something metal gets stuck in the spokes of a bicycle wheel, gets faster with speed.
