Default Tire / Wheel options

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum thing but it was highly recommended by a friend of mine. I have different opinions of what I can and cannot do regarding putting tires and wheels on my truck other than stocks. Mine came with 20" and I know the space between the fenders doesn't give much room but I would like a wheel with a slight offset and possibly a larger tire. I'm ok with a leveling kit but have heard horror stories about lifting and prefer not to. Anyone have suggestions or experience with this? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Dependin on how wide wheel you want and how big a tire, a Levelin kit would be perfect. I run a 2.5" kit on my 2014 no problem with 20x10 -25 offset wheels and 275/60 toyo open country AT2 tires. Love the look, and gas mileage is still 17-18

After some more research I'm still getting some contradicting information from the wheel guys. They're saying I can only go 20x9 wheels with a +20 offset and wrap them in LT305/55/20. I have my rough country leveling kit installed as well. I've got a '15 Silverado 2500HD 4x4 z71. I've had one guy say possible rubbing while another has assured me it would not. Has anyone run into this or have theirs with a similar set up?

You should be able to run that setup no problem. On 1500 with a 2.5" leveling kit I ran 20x10s -25 offset with 295/55/20 trail grapplers and it barely would grab plastic. not even enough for me to wanna trim.
