Hi all, this is my first post. I'm Rob, drive a 14 silverado. 5/7 drop, 22" GM snowflakes, intake, tune, exhaust, and the k&n throttle booster. Glad to be here and look forward to learning and giving advice when I can!

Now, to my question! I'm getting ready to install a 2.9L Whipple. I've got a check list of things I'm going through before the install. I've got about 120k on the odo, owned since new. One big thing is I'm going to service my trans, I already use Royal Purple oil, I'm thinking about using it in my trans. The problem is RP doesn't exactly have dex vi. They have only have their MAX ATF. Never really been a fan of multi vehicle trans fluid, but I'm curious if anybody is running it in their 6L80 and have any opinion?

 

I used to use RP, but until they get a Dexos II stamp on the 5w-20 motor oil I am running Valvoline VI.
I run their synchomesh fluid in my transfer case and my NV3500 5-speed OD manual transmission.

Nope, their Max ATF is not Dexron VI rated.
