Truck wont start, guages and radio do not work.
The other day heading home from work, the gauge cluster and radio seemed to lose power. The guages would all go to 0, the backlight would go to full brightness, and the radio would die. After a few seconds everything would go back to normal then would happen again and kept doing it. I got home and turned the truck off and back on and seemed to fix it.
Yesterday while on the way home from work again it did the same thing but this time sometimes only one guage would go back to normal for a few seconds. Turning it off and on again did not fix it. It drove fine with no loss of engine power or anything. Once I got home, I disconnected the battery to try to reset the PCM but now its doing the same thing and the truck wont crank/start. Ive checked all fuses and relays and everything looks ok. When I removed the fuse for the radio and put it back in, the radio would come on for about 10 seconds then go off again. Only the guages and the radio seem to be affected other than it not starting now. Everything else seems to be working fine.

From your description, I would suspect a poor ground connection.
Now the object is to locate it and clean it.
Many times there is a ground point on the door hinge pillar that could be for most dash pieces.
Might be a good move to look for and clean any you can see. Won't hurt to make sure the ground from the battery negative terminal to the sheet metal of the vehicle is clean and good too. Remember ,looking at them does nothing, they need to be removed , cleaned with a piece of sandpaper or wire brush and reinstalled.
Good practice recommends that dielectric grease be applied after cleaning and reassembly.

This generation are notorious for ground issues. I had similar issues on my 2016 and ended up cleaning all the grounds on the front half of the truck just to be complete and since then i havent had an issue. Heres the ground points to check. The first & second points to check are inside the truck next to the drivers & passengers side "A" pillars where the corners of the windshield meet the dash under the front speaker covers. You will have to remove the trim panels on both pillars and the front half of the dash cover (closest to the windshield). You will see a 10mm nut on each side and it takes some patience and small tools to get those removed. The issue with those is that on alot of these trucks, the rubber insulation for the dash pad was mistakenly caught under/around the ground stud sticking up and doesnt allow the nut to tighten completely and make a good ground. If thats the case, just cut the corner of the insulation and re-install ring terminal(s) and the nut. Do the same for the passenger side. Next ground point is outside the truck on the passenger side behind the front tire. You can follow the thicker ground cable from the battery down to the point where it mounts to the frame rail (its accessible from under the truck without removing the tire). Remove the bolt and wire brush the wire terminal and the frame rail and re-install. I put Vaseline on it after tightening to help stop corrosion but you can use any kind rust inhibitor on it. I also checked all the plug connections at the fuse box under the hood on the drivers side just be sure i wasnt missing something obvious. Hope this helps!
