I am looking at a new truck and the lots are full of the 2.7L turbo trucks. They have some 5.3 trucks but no where near as many. I want the 5.3 but was wondering what everyone thinks of the 4 cyl Silverado?

I just recently purchased a 2021 2.7 and I love it. I'm only 300 miles into mine, but I used a friend's truck to test-pull my 26' travel trailer and it was phenomenal. The towing capacity is 9300lbs, which is higher than my F150 with the 5.0 V8. The V8 engines want to make power way up high in the RPM range. The 2.7 makes its power and torque starting at the bottom which makes towing much more enjoyable. I feel the power curve of the 2.7 is much more useable than the V8. I pull my trailer 4 or 5 times a year, so this truck is perfect for me. Around town, it's so much fun to drive! Although it sounds like a Honda Accord at start-up, it's a perfectly capable truck for everything us weekend warriors do!

As a used car dealer I use my truck 2021 regular cab 4x2 2.7 to tow my trailer 7-9 k This thing tows !
