2020/2021 8 sped problems
I too have had problems with my 2021 Chevrolet silverado 1500 8 speed transmission. I bought it new in December 2020 with 5miles on the engine. I noticed the transmission hesitating to shift from 1st to 2nd gear on the first start of the day. I researched this issue online, saw other complaints for the same issue and others being told by dealerships that it would smoothout once it learned driving habits. So a few months went by and winter turned to spring and the problem still existed but became less common and once summer arrived the problem seemed resolved. Thinking the problem was resolved, I forgot all about the issue. Fast forward to mid fall, the air temps, especially at night, began to cool and the problem returned. The colder it got the more the problem became consistent. I was so busy with work and it being my only vehicle, I never took it to the dealership with the issue, but took note during Spring of 2022 of what the Temps were overnight in conjunction of when the problem occurred or did not occur. It became apparent the cold temps are playing a role in this issue. The summer is now here and this issue stopped. I just know it'll start acting up again as soon as Fall gets here, so I will be taking it to my local dealership soon. Of course over the winter a new issue also developed with the transmission, but I'm unsure if it's a seperate problem or a "domino effect" problem caused by the original transmission problem. The problem is hard downshift from 2nd into 1st gear while slowing to a stop. This issue is random, but fear it will become more consistent over time. I currently have approx 21k miles on my truck! If I can figure anything out with the dealership, I will repost later with the updated info.

Hey everyone. I'm currently experiencing the same transmissions issues. Dealer states its normal, after they serviced my truck a few times. They changed the fliud and replaced the converter. How did you quys make out?
If it was "normal" , GM wouldn't be getting sued over these transmission right now.
