Default 2020 silverado ltz 1500 3.0 diesel real main seal failure

hello i purchased a 2020 silverado 1500 ltz 3.0 diesel 3 months ago it has 5100 miles. drove up to my mother in law's house 80 miles away and drove back home that night. got home and went to go to the store and got in the truck and headed down the road when the check engine light came on and the truck went into low power mode. Got back home and checked the app and had an alert to service the engine and transmission system in the next 7 days. popped the hood and checked the oil to find the dipstick dry. Next day the truck was towed to the local chevy dealer. they check it out and find the rear main seal failed , oil everywhere on the underside. The mechanic put 7 quarts of oil in the truck to fill it back up. 17 days later I got it back from the dealer. they replaced the rear seal and drove it and said everything else looks fine. My concern is what else was damaged in the engine running that far without oil. I am debating on how long to keep the truck now. I bought the diesel to last me a long time and I'm worried it took alot of life out of the engine. What else is going to happen down the road? Let me hear all your thoughts on this, not sure what to do next. Thanks for the replies.

2020 Silverado RST 3.0L Duramax. Bought in October 2020. 12,500 miles. Rear Main seal blew out, oil everywhere. Seeing this is a common issue and GM has a bulletin out on it. Dealer says 12+ hour repair.

Truck is in shop now after same problem as yours last evening. Wish I had stayed with gas as last Silverado did 100,000kms with no problems.
