adding winch to a 2019 Silverado 2500 hd
Hi.
New member here and could use some help
I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado, 2500HD Duramax w/Allison 6 speed. I would like to add a winch ready front bumper, but don't want a full grill guard. MY previous truck, a 1998 Dodge Cummins, I did this with a front receiver hitch.
On the very bottom of the grill is an opening that lets air into the transmission cooler radiator. I have been told that have to keep that opening clear for good air flow and most bumpers I have looked at covers it up.
Can I add a winch ready bumper that will cover it, or are there bumpers out there that will keep that opening from being restricted. Has anyone added one and are there any recommendations of a bumpers offered.
When fully loaded, truck, slide in pop up camper, 3 horse slant load bumper pull trailer with 2 mules and all gear,I am running abut 17,000 pounds.Trucks GCWR is 23,000 #'s.
