I'm new to the Chevy truck realm and would like to know what people are paying for Chevy Silverados 'out the door'? The MSRP for a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD that I'm looking at is 70K. What are you good negotiators actually paying? Let me know if I should post this someone where else or other good sites for researching this topic. Thanks for any help! As an example, I have buddy that picked up one of the new models for 10K below list and not sure if that is normal.
The best time to buy is at the end of the month and when the new years models come out. Don't show them that you want the truck badly and be prepared to walk out. I have gotten written quotes from one dealer and taken it to another dealer and they did beat the price. I did this 2 times with excellent success.
Just bought a 2020 2500 4x4 LTZ MSRP at $59,860 yesterday. I got 4.3% financing, $3000 better than a written offer from one dealership for my trade in and talked then down to $52,900, a little less than $7000 off MSRP. Just know, that getting the most off MSRP doesn't mean squat if they screw you on your trade or get you on the interest rate kickback. Go in with your own financing so you have something solid for them to better so you know they don't bump you with the best we can get you is X.X%. Do your research, act like you don't have to buy and are just checking them out to see what they will actually sell for and stand your ground when you know that you're not getting a fair shake on one of the three (Trade/Financing/Actual Price). Plenty of YouTube videos to prep/polish your negotiation skills.
Good Luck! 2020 Chevy 2500 4x4 Silverado LTZ in Cajun Red with 20" Goodyear Wranglers.
