No 12 volt accessory port on newer trucks
I bought a new air compressor for my tires that has power leads that clip on to battery terminals but have nothing for my Garmin GPS or my radar detector or my 12VDC vacuum. I bought a new air compressor for my inflatable kayak that cost $186 as it has a lithium battery and can be recharged from house current. That is more than $400 for new stuff to compensate for not having a 12 volt outlet in the truck. Now I need to decide whether to spend another $200 to have a local auto electric company install one somewhere in the cab of the truck.
So not having a 12-volt accessory port is not a trivial matter and the clowns at GM/Chevy saved pennies by eliminating it from their truck. Definitely the very last Chevy vehicle I will ever buy.
