Default Sizzling sound

Hello, I currently own a 2022 Silverado RST, this is my dream truck, my baby. We’ve been together for 1 glorious year. Recently I’ve started having a few issues…possibly. When i shut my truck off i hear a sizzling sound. Almost like something cold hitting a hot pan. I figured the first time it was my imagination because i was told by someone with me that they didn’t hear anything. Then the next day nothing. Now it’s everyday and it can clearly be heard. Also since that started, when i get in to leave and initially take off on occasion my radio will switch and sound like it’s coming from one speaker and in a tunnel. Like an old timey radio. and the ac will cut off or blow very very low, and i can’t cut the power to radio off i have to change the input type to fm or satt. I know CarPlay usually has issues so i wasn’t stressing it as much at first. But everything is getting more frequent and it should affect the ac right? None of these issues started until i took my truck in for recalls. Which in Texas seat warmers are last thing anyone is concerned about. But i wanted to make sure my truck was A1. So i took it in, when i got it back i noticed my window button on my dash no longer auto rolled down my windows anymore and also noticed that one of the buttons for the seat warmer didn’t work. So i went back in and informed them off the issues i noticed. And the lady told me that the button didn’t work because i didn’t have the option in my truck it wasn’t offered. And i informed her that the passenger side button did have the option why didn’t the driver side. She said that i would have to leave my truck with them one day a day that they couldn’t schedule it would just have to be dropped off and they get to it when they can, (not that day) because the person that handles those things was leaving and going on vacation. Um well i feel they should have to postpone that vacation because i don’t get to postpone my truck payments when i go on vacation, and they clearly must have rushed if thats the case. But i didn’t say that, i explained that i am a full time student and business owner and can’t be without a vehicle. They said that was the only option i had. Now all these issues are popping up. Is this sizzling something to be concerned about? Can i stop it myself, or just suck it up drop it off and wait like a parents who’s child is in major surgery and the doctor vanishes and is no where to be found. I mean i have no other option if this is an issue. You know other dealerships i know give you loaner cars when they have to do work on a vehicle and seeing as this was the dealerships fault i feel they should do the same, but that’s my opinion. I shouldn’t get punished for their mistake.

Another thing, when i turn my wheel, say if backing out or pulling through a parking lot I get a vibration. I don’t think this is normal at all since it randomly started and from what i know of its seeming like power train issue..maybe? But i could be over thinking or over reacting, Any ideas? Sorry if this message is all over i have horrible ADHD.

The first thing I would do is to ask to speak with the General Manager of the Dealership and get him/her involved. Describe the problem(s) you are having and that they began after you had them perform the work involved in the recall, and that prior to that, everything (except for what the recall was about) worked just fine. Let the person know that when you contacted the dealership after they recall work had been performed and you told whomever about the new problems (or as they call them concerns), you felt that they could care less and did not want to assist you in getting the problem(s) resolved. Let the person know that you are willing to leave the truck with them for as long as it takes provided they provide you with a loaner vehicle (which Chevrolet & not the dealership pays for) for the length of time your truck is in their shop.

Now if that does not get you anywhere, call the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center and get them involved. Their phone number is 800-222-1020. They can work wonders (if they want to). Normally they are very good, but every once in awhile on of the "poorer" Customer Service Reps answers your call and doesn't understand anything. If you unfortunately get an idiot, let me know and I have another path for you to follow by calling their "From Up on High" office that dealerships cannot say no to. When you get the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center involved, they will assign you a case number. Write it down and do not loose it in case you need to call them back or need to escalate your complaint.

The thing that really concerns me is the sizzling noise. If it is electrical, it could do some real damage. Let them know you are concerned about that!

Good Luck!

Did you ever figure out what the issue was? My 2022 Tahoe is doing the same thing. Thx!
