i just bought my silverado 1500 2020 WT with 265/70/R17 rims, i am gonna change the rims with the same size so i think it is ok for that, but i am wondering if i change the tire size to be 285/70/R17 if it will affect the car in any ways or the warranty Or if i need to reprogram the gear,, and by the way all the offroad stores has told me it is okay because there is no much difference and that it will fit perfectly because i already installed rough country leveling front kit

 

the vehicle ebcm has multiple tire size options. the new tire size should be input to the ebcm to correct speedo and trans shift timing/schedule
