I want to add a front facing camera to the "new style Silverado" I want the wire to go from front engine
position and run into cab. Are there any secret openings that don't require drilling to get the wire in?

Depending on how big the wire is, you could force it through an existing grommet. If needed you could put some silicone around the wire to make sure it is sealed. I did this on my 2013 with 2 small wires.
