Default 2000 Astro starting problem

last week or so hard to start. Have to crank it in the morning for a full minute before it fires. even after warmed up still might take a couple cranks to start. today was cranking it for a few mins and getting nothing then a buddy banged on the side of the van down by the tank and it immediately fired up. Once it starts it runs great, perfect. No codes on the check engine. Fuel pump replaced 40K ago. 200K on the van. Fuel filter changed within the last 10K. any ideas? hate to think the fuel pump is going but maybe something is sticking, is there a relay or something involved with the fuel system? Thanks, Paul

only started two more times after last post. measured fuel pressure last night = 51. I guess it is the pump. That didn't last long. will change the filter first just in case...

Where did you get the current pump? Anything other that ACDelco/Delphi pumps are known to die quick deaths in these vans. You can get these good pumps for about the same price as the discount parts store crap pumps if you buy online.

Just noticed that I told you to prepare for another replacement last August.
