While driving on the highway, when I start up an incline if I don't change the gas pedal pressure the van will start to jerk a little. If I push on the gas hard the jerking stops. Pushing a little is like floating, you must really get the pressure on to get past the jerk. The transfer case has been flushed properly with the Trax 11 oil. New plugs recently. Could it be the coil? I don't have any of the slow turning symptoms. any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

one possibility is the torque convertor clutch coming out of lock up. Have a good trans rebuilder take it for a test drive.


if it was a misfire, dtc would set and the ses light would come on.
