I have a 97 astro awd passenger van and when I let off the gas there is a bad pop or bumping noise every few seconds. It feals like a old 4wd truck locked in 4 wd on a dry road. I am trying to avoid junking the van. I think it is from the front end area.

 

Need a bit more info to help you. Please describe the repeat noise? are you touching the brakes? or just off the gas, does it affect the entire body like somthing large moving arround? need a bit of help to help you...
