98 astro no spark!!!!!
well this is my first chevy i bought ran perfect for a few days. then i was on my way to work as the car puttered then died. I kept cranking it over then it started and ran for another minute. i towed it to my house replaced the fuel pump/filter, cap and rotor, ignition coil, crank sensor and the sensor in the distributor. It's getting no spark and i have no clue what it is. Ive checked all fuses. please help if you can im to broke to take it to a shop and need to get to work everyday.
i used a fuel pump i got off ebay. cant afford anything better at the moment. I havent been working for the last 3 months so money is TIGHT. fuel pressure is strong and im getting no spark at all.
all the wires are done correctly i thought maybe it will be a weird chevy thing i dont know about.

Uh, anything less than ACDelco/Delphi pumps have a bad habit of early deaths in these vans. Part of the reason I was able to buy Grumpy* so cheap was because the previous owner had put in a cheap AutoZone pump several months earlier and was having fuel pump issues again. Not saying you have a bad pump yet, but it's a possibility. The following sites can provide the good pumps for about $320-350 after shipping.

Need a better reading than "strong" on the fuel pressure, it needs to be read with a gauge. Need 58-64 psi to start and 55-60 psi to run.
How was the spark tested? Is there anything coming from the coil?
Has the van set any codes?
*Yes, I have a cheap pump rebuild kit in Grumpy. The kit only works with ACDelco/Delphi pumps. I'm the first/only one on all the Astro forums to try it. It's been working pretty good so far, but I can't recommend it for anyone that needs long term reliability from there vans. Grumpy is my toy and doesn't effect my life much if it breaks down.

no spark from the coil. tried replacing it still no spark.
also i test everything with a test light and the good ole screw driver in the wire almost touching metal. nothing.
i have no clue whats wrong with it im thinking maybe the computer went bad. but i dont see how it would go bad while driving. idk its a chevy so i guess anything is possible.
and it is throw no codes.

yes and no....
i had a bud come over today and for some reason it had spark. The last week it hasent had any spark. But for some odd reason when he came over it did.
so i got it running for about 3-4 minutes it died and now wont start again.
i redid the timing from the dizzy changed the crank position sensor and still its not running and getting no spark again.
