Default CatConverter clogged

I hope so, they said it has a 5 year warranty. I think the bigger issue is what is causing it to clog or overheat.

Here is the whole story. Put in the new converter, drove about 1,000 mixed highway and city. No problems.

Loaded up the van with probably 800 lbs of cargo (6 adult passengers) this weekend and drove on the highway that had a consistent uphill elevation. All of this with the Air conditioner.
Started smelling sulfur smell (rotten egg). So that means the converter is not efficiently processing.
Actually this is a good article: http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h64.pdf

All things are pointing that the engine is running rich under severe load, such as up hill on highway at 70mph and full of passengers.
Since Oxygen sensors have never been replaced in 145,000 I will start with that.
It can't be fault w/ fuel injects because that would create a lean condition, right?

It used to hesitate and engine code P0300 : multi cylinder missfire.
The the radiator cracked and it over heated. When it started to overheat, also it started to lose power. Not sure if the overheating is connected to the loss of power.
It started to loose power gradually, at this point I can hold the pedal down to the floor and barely get moving. It sounds like it's starving for air or fuel...

Replaced:
  • Radiator & hoses.
  • Spark plugs & wires
  • Distributor Cap & Rotor
Performed Fuel Injection Cleaning.
Checked Cylinder Compression. All 6 are at 200+psi
Checked Fuel Pump Pressure; it's at about 60psi at Ignition On position
Checked if the Intake Manifold gasket is leaking, it's not
Checked vacumme pressure, it seems fine. Air filter is ok.
Sounds like an ignition coil problem
