Default fuel pump?

greetings, i have a 99 astro van 2 wheel drive, 4.3 vortec
yesterday it ran fine. today i get in and shes bogging down like its missfireing, it stalled about 200 feet from home. i got it started again and took it home. it was jerking, trying to die. i first checked the fuel filter...it was good. now it wont start at all. could it be the fuel pump? i can hear it turn on but it sounds loud.

Could be. Could also be the ignition system. Distributor is a common point of failure. More testing needed.

Is the check engine light on? If it is read the codes and that could tell you what the problem is.
