Default fuel pump replacement

Newbie to the forum here. Hope someone can help me out. I've dropped the gas tank on my '99 Astro. Now I need to disconnect the fuel lines before I can pull it out from under the van. If you've done this before you know what I'm talking about. Is there a special tool or something?

A couple wrenches I believe is needed to separate the fuel lines. Ususally they are too rusted to take apart though. I Normally cut the rubber hose right in half, then put a piece of steel line with a flare on it with a couple clamps to re-attach the lines.
