Default My 04 Astry van has hard problems starting ?

Well it used to run good, until i decided to peel out ( smash on the gas in a dirt lot ) the next day it started giving me hard starts it takes like three times before it starts on. The fuel pump works, what I do is turn the key on three times before i turn they key all until it starts so it can pump enough fuel to get it started. I changed the fuel filter thats under the driver side, and put a lucas deep fuel injector cleaner in the tank. Still does the same, what else could it be ?? Please someone help me out here

Same symptoms happen to my van after i replace the fuel pump and i also race the van , the problem was the fuel injector spider inside the intake manifold

Thee problem is the check valve in the fuel pump. It is allowing the fuel to drain back into the tank. Then when you try and start it has to fill up the lines again. You can change the fuel pump or add an inline check valve. This worked for me.
