96 astro lost power steering and brakes while driving. it will be alright for a while but continues to do so. it seems to happen more when there is a lot of moisture

 

Your power steering pump controls both your brakes and you steering ??/ Replaced mine works fine but still grunts ??/ I should have checked and seen if they had a heavy duty one ??/ Looked into one that was designed for rock crawling ( Bigger pressures ) but asked a really good mechanic about it and he indicated that control between the two ( Brakes and steering ) might only be viable using stock pressures ??/ When replacing mine the shaft with pulley attached just fell out of the pump unit ( Shaft broken )??/
