Default squeaky heater
My van squeaks like mad when I start it. I have to turn off the engine and restart it to stop it. If I put my defrost on it will start squeaking again. Could it be the water pump? Or the serpentine belt?

Sounds like a belt. When you turn on defrost it probably engages the a/c compressor, makes belt work harder. Should be able to lift hood and figure it out.
