Installing CD player

Installing CD player
Hey,
I have a 99 Geo and i'm trying to instal a cd player init..so I instal a JVC..start the car and all the player cd does is light on and then closes..and all I can do is eject a cd..ok so maybe its my cd player..
so my friend gives me a sony..try it and it works..so i go out and buy a brand new JVC..plug it and same thing happens as above..
What can be the problem?
