Default 06 Avalanche and Spark Plugs

Well its time to change out my spark plugs and decided to do the wires as well. I was wondering after I replace the wire and the plug do I need to keep the "P.I.T.A" metal boot? I don't really see need for it and after doing one I really don't feel like fighting these things everytime I have to change plugs. Any input helps seeing as I'm in the process of changing them out right now.

Keep the metal shielding or the boots will bake onto the plug. Apply di-electric grease to the boot bore that contacts the plug insulator. This will help for future plug removal.

When removing the wires, twist the plug boots, then pull them off with a good quality wire pliers.
After years of cutting my knuckles, I bought the best snap-on pliers out there. They make a world of difference.
