I have an 06 Avalanche with a 5.3 and a 4l60e transmission. About a week ago, the transmission started to act up. The truck drives great for about 2 miles, and then I lose all forward and reverse gears. When I got it home, and it had cooled off, the trans was working again. But, when it warmed up you could hear some clicking, and then no gears again. I tried to run through all the gears with the gear shift...none. I tried the transfer case and you can hear the gears shifting and locking in. There is no idiot light on, and I bought a reader, and there are no codes. I was thinking of replacing the solenoids, but dont want to waste $100.00 if the trans is shot. I cleaned the MAF sensor, with the right cleaner, and there was no improvement. Any help would be appreciated...

 

Just wondering if you ever found a solution to your tranny problem? I have an 07 with the 460LE tranny and am having similar issues
