Default 07 avalanche nav/dvd

Just got my 07 Avalanche LTZ, victory red with ebony interior and I love it. My concern is the nav system with dvd. Am I correct to assume that if the kids are watching a dvd on the rear entertainment system that I cannot listen to a CD up front? Is that rediculous? Whats the point of having the wireless headphones for the kids to use if all I can listen to up front is the radio? Am I missing something here?

Bill

Get yourself an Ipod. CD's are on the endangered species list anyway.

Ipod is definitely something I have been thinking about. Is there anyway I can load mp3 files into the unit and not need an ipod? I like the nav and the dvd, but I really like the cd changer my 04 avalanche had. Seems like with all that technology, they would have an mp3 player integrated to the system.

Thanks
Bill

Let me ask this...

If I buy an ipod, whats the best way to integrate it to the system? Just use the Aux input with a wire or use one the fm modulator docks? Not a big fan of wires.

Not that I am aware of. Technology is changing so fast. I just got my first Ipod last year and cant see going back. They are much cheaper now plus there is way to integrate the ipod so you can use the controls on your nav (Do a search - there is a post in the Tahoe section on how to do this). I hope this helps. Good luck.
