Question 07' LTZ AValanche ABS Electrical issue

Hello there, just recently got this car from my mechanic buddy who had it in Wisconsin for a few years before moving to my town. Been having some issues with it that suddenly cropped up in the last two weeks , but he swears they weren't while he was driving it.

Long story short, the STabiltrak warning light (car swerving symbol) and the ABS symbol constantly were flashing on and off, and the warning beeps for them kept happening nonstop. At the same time this was happening, my AC's cold air wouldn't work, or rather is hould say it would intermittentlty turn on and off. The "snowflake symbol" button light on the radio would also blink over and over, not in pattern, just frantically, like the ABS and Stabiltrak lights.

We figured out that these two things are connected, so for now we atleast disconnected the ABS control module that's underneath the truck that you can easily just see and unplug, and this stopped the flashing lights and beeping, now the warning lights just stay on, obviously.

We changed out the alternator for a brand new one, the battery is only a few months old, so we figured it's a grounding wire somewhere that's bad. We checked the fuses, and we saw that the #2 fuse was burnt out, AND, any new fuse we put in, immediately burns out the moment the AC comes on, we hear the fuse blow immediately. Another thing to note is that this truck does have a bit of rust issues right below both front doors, a little on the frame of the car, and the back bed has a few rusted holes in it, and he said he washed out the back of the grease and what not from him always hauling transmissions, so he thinks maybe he might've hit some exposed wires there with the water, etc.

When we hooked it up to his OBD 2 ( i don't know if it's one that reads ABS errors), it would show the voltage for the alternator ( I believe it was the alternator) spike drastically up and down between 0 and 14, maintain 13-14 for a moment, and then fluctuate again. The voltage battery meter on the dash would also go past 14 as these issues persisted (before we unplugged the ABS modeul anyway).

I"m here to ask, does this sound familiar to anyone? Anyone happen to know where the grounding wire is that could be causing this? WE're gonna try to look for it, but we're hoping there's an answer here that would save us hours of taking parts of the engine out in order to trace all the wires to the grounds to see which ones are faulty. I know this'll probably be a trial and error thing, but i'm hoping someone has a specific answer of "OH, yea, that's probably the ground wires in this specific part of your engine, check there, no where else is gonna cause this"
