2003 avalanche transmission issues

so i had my tranny rebuilt at ammco , and its been back 4 times for code 0849 which is slippage detected . ammco has changed valve body twice and has redone the tranny twice and code keeps popping up after the 100 mile mark. is it the torque converter ?? any help would be appreciated

It could definitely be the torque converter, especially if it wasn’t replaced during the rebuild. Also, it wouldn’t hurt to check the harness or TCM—P0849 can be electrical too. Sucks you’re still dealing with it after all that.
