Default adding alternator on 07

i hav an 07 avelanche and was wondering if anyonr knew of anw way i could add a second alternator, or change to one there to a big one. the only thing about a swap is the computer controlling toe stock. im ok with changing it if theres some way around that with no check engine light any help or direction would be great thanks in advance

3 component sets , 4 12's 4 amps and 3 batteries not to mention tv's and other stuff that the factory 140 varing output alternator dosnt like at all already on the second one of those and not cheap at all almost 300 even with the break i get at a local dealer thats with me changing it

i would really prefer to add a second to make majority of that a stand alone from the original electrical system

You could probably add a single wire stand alone alternator. It would involve some serious fabrication. Have you considered a power cap.

used a kinetik 2000, and a 600 same discharge rate as a cap but reserve capicity of a battery

another thing any truth to a myth i heard about being able tu reprogram the computer to run the alternator wide open all the time heard that from a buddy that does all the installs for the local sherrifs department
