I went to replace my stop light switch the other day and when I plug in the part my truck wont shift into gear, my ABS, service stabilitrak, traction control, and check engine light all come on. I know its not the part because I have tried 4 different ones and even the old one. Just by simply plugging it in, the truck goes haywire.

I am not able to take a picture right now but I found two pictures, one of the part and where I replaced it. It's such a simple task of unplugging a part and plugging another in that I do not get why my truck is rejecting the part.
