on my 09 avalanche I got the p0449 and I am/was sure that it is my canister vent solenoid. So took it in the dealer to make sure. They told me it was the vent valve solenoid. Now I still have 8year emissions warranty and the canister vent solenoid in on the covered parts list. cool no charge for me....so I thought... was told not covered, asked tech why? he said its the fuel vent valve solenoid.

my question: Is that not the SAME part? I am at a lost, then again I could have it mixed up.
