Error code P0449 and P0455

Error code P0449 and P0455
Someone please help me out. I have these two codes: P0449 and P0455 coming up on the system check. What would be the most simple thing to start checking to fix this issue? Can you please be specific in location and what to check for?
It is a 2003 Chevy Silverado Z71 with the 5.3.

P0455 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak) (FUEL CAP)
P0449 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Valve/Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
code p0449 is quite possibly related to the p0455. buy a GOOD gas cap (preferably dealer as others do not seal right sometimes) have all codes cleared, hopefully problem solved.
