How to install Rear Camera 07 LTZ?
I have an 07 LTZ with the factory nav system. I'm considering installing the rear camera system. Has anyone done this? Do you know parts numbers of the pieces I'd need and approx prices? How difficult is this?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I read through it all and came to the conclusion the best way to go is with an aftermarket camera. Seems the GM stuff is expensive and hard/impossible to get. I ordered a ccd-900 kenwood model and am planning on attaching it to my Tahoe's DVD nav radio with a GM Lockpick. Theres a post somewhere telling how to install it to the factory harness.
I installed the ccd-900 on my 07 tahoe. It was pretty easy, just time consuming. One thing I wish I may have tried was to paint the camera body to match the vehicles exterior body color! You can also use the power and ground out of your heater controls, they are what I used as I dont have the lockpick! Anyways, let me know if you have any questions! Good Luck.
I too have an 07 Avalanche with the Nav, but I have the rear DVD also. Does this mean that my Av is prewired for the camera? If so, then I would need to install the cam and have the dealer turn it on?
Thanks for the help!

You can find those camera wires at passenger side kick panel.
so all you have to do is install camera, run wires to passenger kick panel, and reprogramm radio
