Default service stabilitrak and service traction control

Having the same problems as a lot of others on here, the other day I was coming home from the VA hospital and was going about 50mph when the rpm's went up and power went down, about 10 or 12 miles down the road, the truck just shut off while going down a busy highway, got to the side of the road but it would not re-start, battery went dead trying to get it started, had it towed home and charged the battery, truck started and went about 3 miles and died again. Got it towed home and recharged the battery but now it turns over but will not start. My question is this, is there any way to chech/fix the onstar without going to the dealership?
