I recently purchased an 2004 chevy Avalanche. I replace all the front suspension parts as they all were wore out. It is 4wd with autotrac system. The previous owner had removed the front drive shaft due the bracket that holds the differential in place had broke. I had this bracket replaced and replaced the front driveshaft. After all parts had been installed when I drive forward and the front end raises up and makes binding noises. When I back up the front end goes back down to normal. Has anyone ever seen this before or have any suggestions I could try?

Could be the Autotrac system. It uses a dry multi-plate clutch is used to transfer torque to the front axle. Might be the culprit. I'd never touch any push-button four-wheel drive system with a ten foot pole, and I wouldnt care which manufactuer made it either. 4WD shift-lever on the floor and manual locking-hubs, if they will fit/ are available, as well.
