Whine in front end of Avalanche

Whine in front end of Avalanche
I have a whine in the front end when making a sharp right turn on my 2006 Avalanche . Very pronounced at first but then diminishes a little for a while.
It seems to do this when it (the engine )is cold. I just noticed this happening a couple of weeks a go (66,000 mile ) . I thought of a wheel bearing, but checked and that is not the issue. Open to suggestions

The power steering pump may be a possibility. This is merely a suggestion, not a diagnosis. I encourage you to have the vehicle inspected by a certified technician, they will be able to offer a more accurate diagnosis after a physical inspection.
Please keep us posted.
