1996 Corsica needs complete new rocker panels
I have a 1996 Chevy Corsica that is pretty much rust free except for the rocker panels/side rails. It is a sedan. Those parts are almost eaten away by rust.
There was a company that made replacements. You would cut out the bad metal front to back, while bracing the car body, and weld in the new components on each side. Then paint, etc.
The replacement parts, as I recall, were built with a piece of metal, "waffle folded" inside the assembly to provide strength and stiffness.
These parts were built to better than original construction.
Does anyone know if those are still available. If not, where can I buy the parts that can be welded in to restore integrity to the body? Salvage yard, etc., would be acceptable.
Thanks for your help.
