Default 93 lumina euro 3.1

Hi,

Engine has been recently rebuilt by dealer, and runs fine, except when you first start the car in the am when cold out - it races at like 2100 rpm, and will continue to climb until you put your foot on the brake and shift out of park, then it drops right down like it's suppose to, and seems ok after that...

if you let it go, without shifting, it will eventually give a SES light, but that goes out, once your in gear, and the idle drops...

Car seems to run fine at idle after that... stays at about 900 rpm at a stop light...

ideas?

Thanks

Take it back to the dealer. Chances are the will cover some of it. There is a really high chance it has to do with their work.

Hi,

Yeah, I plan on that, just wondered, since it's specific to just when the engine is cold, what it could be? - they replaced the egr valve that I paid $200 for as an aftermarket part... that is the only thing I hope it's not.

runs fine otherwise, but I know it's not 100% perfect.
