Air present At valve stem on fuel injector rail.
Every since I replaced my fuel pump, I have developed a problem with my 92 3.1 L Lumina sedan. After running it for any length of time, once I shut it off, air somehow is drawn into the fuel lines. A very large amount of air that takes a good deal of time to bleed from the fuel pressure gauge outlet on the fuel rail. Sometimes even this will not get it started unless I add more fuel, even though the fuel gauge (which is accurate) shows that I have just under a full tank. I have replaced the plastic grommets at the fuel pump connection to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions how my fuel lines are drawing air once the fuel pump stops? Or perhaps where it is air coming from? Thank you Scott
