Talking DayTime Running Light Module 95 Corsica

Where is the DayTime Running Light Module on a 95 Corsica? It is at the front of the console, beneath the dash and in front of the radio. You can easily see it by not having to remove any panels, . . . just put your head down by the gas / foot pedal and look back into the console under the dash and the DRL module is in front of the radio and wiring harnesses.

How big is the DRL and what does it look like? It is black plastic housed and approximately 4"x4"x2" which is larger than most people might think it would be and it has two connectors plugged into it with each connector having several wires in each connector.

What is the GM part number of this Module? It is 12088534 and as of 2/4/2014, they are still available new from vintage parts suppliers on the internet. Just Google the part number 12088534 and you can still find multiple sources new and used. (Google it and you can find pictures of it too.) NALLEY genuine factory GM parts still has them or can get them.

Can you disconnect the DRL, (the daytime driving lights module) and will the lights all still function ok using the dash lights switch. YES you can. Just remove the DRL module by disconnecting the two connectors. That's it.
Replace it if you like and if you still want the lights on during the day, otherwise, disconnect it and get on with life.

I hope this forum can save someone a lot of time and headache if you have this problem.

Can it be added to a 1994 Corsica?
