Default standard transmission for 1997 chev lumina

hey i was wondering if anyone knows if theres a 5 speed manual tranny that will bolt up to a stock block (3100) i have a 1997 lumina ls 4 door.. and im looking for sumthing fun to do with it.. i love the car but hate automatic could someone please help me locate a tranny that will fit? i was told that a 5 speed will fit infrom a 1996-1998 chev cavalier with a 2.2L has anyone ever done this transformation or heard of anyone whos done it and it worked??

I've heard/read some articles a while back, someone mentioned (not sure what forum, here 60degreev6, elsewhere) about a swap with a Sunfire's 6-speed (does it even exist) manual. Hopefully someone posts here with some information, I'm certainly interested as well, and will keep reading around.

theres a few manuals that will bolt up to your engine, mounting is a different story
