I have a 1993 Lumina with a 131000 miles 3.1 V6.
i get code 54. I put new relay in still same code. I also replaced fuel pump.
i test with tank out. no power until oil pressure light out then power to pump.
i took top off one of the relays if i touch points power to pump. other than hard cold start. it starts good.

I also get surging as it runs. surging comes and goes. once warm you shut off a few min and start idling bad and stalls ( almost like its missing) and bad surging. a few miles down road its better and seems ok.
the other day idling I got two codes a 33 and 45. I replace the MAP and idle sensor I also replaced throttle position switch. it help but allo running issues there. the car runs out great and good gas mileage last time i check it.
I also replaced the ecm( the computer) with rebuilt last week. all same.
not sure if this has anything to do but cooling fan not run. I hooked one fan to relay to run when key on until i find issue. also the speedometer shows you at 90 when your doing around 60. that just started about same time i replaced computer. i need pick up speed sensor.
i have only had code 33 one time 45 code 2 times. just replace all items today .
i have not check codes yet

 

I do have 2 codes . from town driving. 44 and 45/ on freeway no codes show up

 

the code 54 fuel pump was bad ground. and other issue is new computer wrong e-proms

 

THE RIGHT eprom came friday. put them in all my issues gone car is like new
