Default What do you all think of a performance EPROM?

Hey everyone, first thread here.
I am looking for advice and input about Performance EPROM chips.

I found a few:
Chevrolet Beretta Hypertech Thermo Master Cal-Pac Power Chip - Stage 1 by Hypertech Performance Parts
--------------------------
List: Performance Chip - 1990 Chevrolet Beretta | O'Reilly Auto Parts
------------------------

Do you think it is worth it over the stock EPROM?
I am eventually planning to install a turbo on this vehicle and I am still considering modifying my engine, I have a spare 3.1L v6. that is sitting in a smashed beretta...

I am also considering the 3400 v6 block with 3500 heads or whatever that combo is... I forgot because its been a while since I read the info on it.
I have recently thought of taking the 3.6L v6 from the 2012 impala and its transmission, ECM etc. do you think that would work instead?

I'm not planning on spending a LOT, I get 99% of my parts from the junk yard and I find great parts for very good prices! But what does everyone else think I should do to get the most power out of my car as far as engine choice?
I'm still planning on trying to fit a turbo to it if I can for something like 5 PSI boost...

Thanks all.

Well its a universal chip, it is mapped for the same engine for both stock and fully modded. As long as I have the proper sensors to send the data to it, like a 2 bar map, etc...
I'm just trying to figure out of I should get a chip like these and keep it OBD-1 or move to OBD-2 and buy a Tuner for a tunable ECM.
