Default 1999 2 Door Tahoe Pulling to the Right in 4WD

I just had the front differential rebuilt on my 1999 Door Tahoe 4X4. When I have the truck in 4 Hi, it pulls to the right whether on snow or dry pavement. It drives nice and straight when it's in 2 Hi, so I'm thinking it's not the wheel alignment or a low tire. It didn't do this before I had it rebuilt - any ideas as to what the problem could be? (I don't have an owner's manual for this truck.)

I agree; if it was the alignment it would occur in 2 and 4wd. maybe one front axle shaft isn't being driven. put the vehicle on jack stands with all the wheels in the air and confirm all wheels turn. you could also contact the shop who did the work and see what they say.

My guess is the differential is not applying power equally for some reason, thus the drifting. I don't know what causes that. None of my 4X4 vehicles ever did this.

yes...maybe the front diff actuator isn't engaging one axle when shifting into 4x4???

Thanks Tech2. I'm going to be bringing it in to the mechanic that fixed it and I will bring that idea with me.
