Bolt price
Four months ago I went looking for a Bolt to buy for cash. Went to three local Chevy dealers and every one wanted to add $10,000 to the price for the privlage of selling me one. Went to my local Kia dealer and for about $11,000 more then they wanted for the Bolt I was able to buy a new Kiaev6 AWD 320 hp Kia Wind. 77.4 KW battery. 0-60 in 5 sec, 20-80 percent charge in 18 minutes. The Kia dealer also wanted the extra $10,000 but because it was the last day of the month and I was paying cash with no trade in they dropped the $10,000. Would like to know if others have had the same price gouging problems.
Today I tried to buy a 2022 Bolt EUV Premier at Sunrise Chevrolet in Forest Hills, Queens, NY. Sticker price is $41,740. I wanted to buy outright without any financing. They added $5,000 for a "Market Value" adjustment, $895 for an inspection fee, and $695 for a dealer prep fee.
I asked the dealership to remove the $5,000 + $695. They split the difference and cut that value in half. I walked out. I felt like I was getting ripped off paying additional over sticker.
Are other folks seeing these same types of markups at their local dealerships for a 2022 Bolt EUV Premier edition?
