Car starts only for 1sec and dies right after. I have replaced fuel pump and fuel filter also replace spark plugs and distributor and wires still the same problem. Dose any know what should I do
need some more help.

IAC, throttle body, fuel injectors, ECM, ICM fuel pressure regulator are the likely culprits here. Put a scan tool on it. OBD I not OBD II.

 

does this vehicle have a VATS system? this the TPI motor?

 

Yes its been bypassed already.

 

• We Checked the throttle body it's fine. When put starting fluid it runs in the throttle body. I looked at the fuel pressure regulator its seen to keep the car on longer when I take off the vacuum line the car seems to stay running a little be longer but.I Don't really know to test these out to see if that the problem
• The ICM was replaced and i don't know if thats a bad one I bought but when the old was in still the same problem.
• ECM I think its working I'm not getting any codes from the obd 1 only then I'm getting 12 12 12 thats it.
• I'm not getting fuel injector pulse at all on the rail
• and checked all fuses
• please if there any thing else i should test out let me know thanks.

 

I had an '82 Z-28 with the same problem. It was the ECM. you can get one re-manufactured from Summit but you might want to get the PROM also.
