GM and Chrysler would love to have muscle coupes to fight Ford's Mustang. Both GM's Chevrolet Camaro and Chrysler's Dodge Challenger prototypes from the Detroit show would do the trick, and both companies would like to turn their concepts into realities. But in two or three years, when the Camaro and/or Challenger would be likely to go on sale, will the buzz around retro American coupes be dead? And will the Camaro and Challenger have suffered fatally from years of being trotted around auto shows without being delivered to showrooms? We'll see.
