Default 4L60e problems

Hello everyone I am new here and am seeking all knowledgeable help. I have a 1995 Z-28 LT1 383 Stroker with the 4L60e. Recently it started acting strange and I am not very familiar with this tranny. Reverse, First and second are very strong but it laggs into 3rd and slips tremendously and I have no pull what so ever in 4th. Can some-1 please help me with this problem? I don't know where to start. Thanks for any advice.

I'm no master of slush boxes but I'll give this a try, first I have to ask, jave u checked your atf fluid lately? Checked to make sure that all of the wiring is connected to the tranny, checked your fuses, and inspected for input or tail shaft leaks? And don't forget the coolant lines to the rad, or tranny cooler if u have one one it. First if u have had say a fluid and filter change done recently, drop the trns pan and make sure they installed the trans filter correctly, that's if u have had that done recently, second, does it do this right away from the time u start the engine, does it change as the tranny gets hotter? No codes I'm assuming, my 4L60E didn't throw any either. Now here's kind of a dumb one, but it's not if u have ever been in this situation, when u r driving the car, put your hand down between the seet on the side of the console right over the trans, is it warm? Fine. Is it hotter then u think normal? Now the fact that it hasn't gone into limp home mode means u have a little hope. Check these things and get back to me,. Believe it or not all of these stupid sounding questions are very relevant, especially on a 95, slightly different than a 94, and no they don't interchange. Jic u do need a trans u need to know that.
